Some short stories:

3/2004 - (One last extremely amusing story about Fred.) In his neighborhood prowls he often visited a house two doors south. It was a rental, but then the owners moved back in and renovated. In the fall after their renovations were complete they noticed Fred walking along the ledge where the stone stopped and siding began. As one of their windows was open, Fred simply stepped through. As the 'master' of the domicile was retired, he was taking a nap. Fred simply joined him on the bed, curled up beside him, and went to sleep. This happned most afternoons when the weather was nice enough to have a window open. When the weather began to turn, the couple watched for Fred, and if he came at the appointed hour for his nap, opened the window for him.

2001 - A bursting bottom!
This is not a story of Katpuke more a story of a bursting bottom! When a very little Ninoo was about 8 weeks old we use to let him sleep with us in the bed to keep him from getting frightened in the night. One night however I awoke to a rather grusume noise and a very ickey smell, I sprang out of bed to clear up the little accident waking my partner with the light, he started to complain about the smell etc. I looked and at first could not find it, then I heared a screech from my partner!! Little Ninoo had released onto the duvet and my patner in getting comfy had been rapping his legs up in it, it was smeared all up his legs, hip and feet. Well I have never seen a human being move so fast as he lept up reching and heving straight to the shower. I am still sure that little Ninoo had a slight smirk accross his chops. We laugh about it now but my partner definately was not laughing at the time. I however did.

2/18/01 Cats water breaking on face!?
I was in Junior High School, while asleep, at four in the morning, I woke up with my face wet, cold, and gooey. I thought what the hell? I heard the peeps of little kittens by my side. One of my cats, Spunky, always had the habit of sleeping by my head, thus where she broke her water. But born were four beautiful calico kittens, one of which I have with me here at college, her name is Shab. And just like her mom, she has to sleep by my head or at my wrist with her head in my hand.

2/16/01 Roast Beef String!
When I was 12 my mother let me have my first cat. After years of begging, pleading and kidnapping every stray in the neighborhood, she FINALLY let me keep this one. His name was Teekee. He was orange and cream striped with double paws and rust eyes. Cutest kitten I had ever seen! He was an awesome! This story is about the time he apparently had gotten into the trash after a roast beef dinner we had. You know how the beef is tied...well Teekee thought the string would make a yummy snack. I only know this because I found him dragging his butt all over the place with something dangling from his backside. ALAS! The roast beef string! So, I get my brother in-law and the ironing board. He held the cat down while I ever so gently tugged the string out of his butt! The poor cat wailed and meowed the whole time! Got that string out though! He took off like a bat out of hell after that! Needless to say, we tied the trash real good after that!

1/19/01 Flying cat
My cat,Blair, attacks the paper as it comes out of the printer. She also tries to fly off the top of my computer stand.

9/1/00
Pappy the downstairs tabby is sitting under my second story window, staring into the bushes, waiting for mice. This is her favourite spot.

CoCo, my 18 pound flabby tabby hates Pappy, and would like to gut her. Pappy has a healthy fear of CoCo.

It's a nice warm sunny day.....Ah look at CoCo sleeping in the sunny window....cute kitty. Yawn...Stretch....and rolls right out the window.

I dash around to the side of the house - here comes CoCo - with a look on her face that defies description.

As I pick her up to comfort her, I happen to glance under the porch.....You guessed it! There's Pappy, shaking and shuddering like a leaf in a tornado!

I know what at least two cats dream of now.
